Not many computer users know that the Windows operating system includes certain vulnerabilities that allow a hacker to take over your computer with ease. Using Windows Update in this case is not enough, as the security holes will still remain open. The only solution left would be to use a specialized application which can detect the security flows of the operating system and can remove them. One such application is Samurai.

This simple Windows program allows you to apply different security settings to your operating system, which will raise the security level and will protect you from most hackers. The application doesn't need installing, but still, it requires you to copy it inside a folder in order to be used. That's because the program creates various configuration files when it is launched. After running Samurai, the user will see a simple interface which features a list of security settings. The user can select any of these settings to be applied to the system and can even apply all of them, for a maximum security level.

In case the user needs to reinstall the operating system, he can save all the selected security settings as a configuration file, which can be imported later on. Besides that, Samurai can be uninstalled from the system using a single mouse click.

Pros

It can apply different security settings to the operating system, for raising the overall security level and protecting you from hackers. Besides that, the user can save all the selected security settings as a configuration file, to be reused later on. Furthermore, the program can be uninstalled using a single click.

Cons

The program doesn't offer detailed explanation regarding each security setting, for the user to understand what it does. Samurai can protect your system from hackers, by applying different security settings and eliminating system vulnerabilities.
